Let's Shape The Future

Put simply, Gutka Sahib is a small book that contains essential Sikhi scriptures.
Gutka Sahib refers to a mini holy book that Sikhs carry. It contains selected teachings known as Gurubanis or sacred words from the much larger text, Guru Granth Sahib. The name originates from the word “Gutka,” which means “small package.”
Put simply, Gutka Sahib is a small book containing essential Sikh teachings.
The history behind Gutka Sahib is that when muslim rulers oppressed Sikhs in Punjab and elsewhere, forcing them to be on the move, a smaller Gurubani provided easy access to the teachings of the Gurus.
The purpose of reciting a Gutka Sahib is to connect with the Guru’s teachings and to walk the path shown by the Gurubanis. The aim is to remain spiritually connected to the Gurubanis (teachings) when you are away from home.
It is expected that you keep a Guru Granth Sahib at home, the larger text.
Gutka Sahib should be recited with a clean and calm mind. Whenever you have some time in your hand, you can recite Gutka Sahib to connect with the Guru’s teachings.
Gutka Sahib or any granth should be kept at your worship place at home. If you do not have a worship place or travel frequently, you should keep it in a neat, clean, and moisture-free place. The aim is to treat the Granth (holy book) with the highest level of respect.
Gutka Sahib is usually kept in a cotton cloth, cotton being native to India. The colour of the cloth is either bright yellow (Basanti) or saffron (Kesariya). People also keep it in a white cloth, as white represents serenity, peace, and wisdom.
Chaupal Sahib removes negativity from your life through Binti, a form of request prayer where a devotee asks Waheguru to remove negatives from their inner soul and save them from any physical harm.
